Free cosmetic-only simulator — no real money, no prizes, no redemption, no opportunity to win anything of value.
PackRip (packrip.co) is a free Pokemon booster pack opening simulator, an unofficial fan project not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Game Freak. Gameplay is fully free. There is no payment, checkout, subscription, or donation surface of any kind anywhere on the site. This policy also covers the PackRip iPhone app (“PackRip: TCG Card Packs”), which offers optional in-app purchases sold and processed by Apple — see the iPhone app section below.

PackRip does not require account creation or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information you provide directly, because there is no form in which to provide it. There is no newsletter, no transactional email, and no user profile.
Game progress. Your collection, coins, dust, stats, quests and settings are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Cross-device sync is on by default and sends that anonymous game-progress snapshot to PackRip's Cloudflare Worker so another device can claim the same identifier. You can turn sync off in Settings to keep a device offline.
Anonymous identifier. PackRip mints a random anonymous identifier (a UUID stored as packrip_uid) used only for cross-device sync and Daily Seeded Challenge leaderboard entries. It is not linked to an email address, a name, or any real-world identity. It is the only identifier the service holds. Treat an exported UUID like a password: anyone holding it can pair another browser to the same anonymous save.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 via Firebase to understand how people use the simulator. It may collect pages visited and time spent, device type, browser and operating system, approximate country- or city-level location, referral source, and aggregated usage events such as packs opened. This data is aggregated and we cannot identify an individual person from it.
PackRip is paid for by Google AdSense ads. They appear on most pages, including the pack-opening page, where ads stay on screen while a pack is opening. Some ad units are placed by PackRip; Google also places ads automatically, which can include formats shown over the page — for example a banner fixed to the edge of the screen or a full-screen ad between pages. A rewarded video plays only if the player chooses “Watch ad” at the free-pack limit. The embeddable widget and the per-card and per-Pokemon database pages show no ads. Ads are served by Google and, through Google, by Google-certified ad networks.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
PackRip requests non-personalized ads only: ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization are set to denied for every visitor, regardless of what you choose in the consent banner, so ads on PackRip are not chosen from your browsing history. Google may still use cookies or similar technologies for non-personalized ads where permitted — for example to limit how often you see an ad, for aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see Google’s own consent message, which records your choices for Google and its ad partners; there it is the only consent prompt, PackRip’s analytics banner is not shown, and analytics stays in its cookieless default. Visitors in US states with privacy laws can also see Google’s message about their privacy choices.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising.
The PackRip iPhone app has no sign-in, no email and no account. It uses Google AdMob to show ads, including an optional rewarded video; ads are requested as non-personalized, and in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws the app shows Google’s consent message before ads are requested, which you can change later under Settings → Privacy options. The app never asks for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. It uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for aggregated usage statistics and crash reports, and a random device identifier stored on your device to save game progress to PackRip’s server and, through RevenueCat, to validate and restore purchases. Optional in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple; PackRip never receives your payment details.
PackRip sets one first-party cookie holding the anonymous identifier described above. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may set or read their own cookies as described above and in Google’s policies. Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a consent banner controls analytics storage; inside them Google’s consent message takes its place and analytics stays in its cookieless default. Advertising storage stays denied either way.
Because PackRip holds no personal information tied to you, there is nothing to look up by name or email. You can nevertheless erase everything the service stores for your identifier at any time: clear your browser storage to remove local data, and use the in-app data deletion to erase the synced snapshot from PackRip's Worker. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR; California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out under the CCPA/CPRA. PackRip does not sell or share personal information, and there is no cross-context behavioural advertising to opt out of, because ads are non-personalized.
PackRip is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are non-personalized site-wide, which is why ad personalization is denied for every visitor rather than only for some.
The third-party services involved are Google (Analytics, Firebase and AdSense on the website; AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics in the iPhone app), RevenueCat (iPhone app purchases), Cloudflare (hosting and the sync Worker), and the open-source Pokemon TCG API used to build the card catalogue and mirror TCGplayer market prices. If this policy changes materially, the updated policy will be published on this page.
